I can not recall ever shedding tears for a famous person passing away simply because there was no connection. Today Stuart Scott has changed that. I remember watching ESPN2 at its start and in complete awe of this young guy who made the highlights as exciting as the games themselves. I remember thinking that this dude sounds like my friends and family do while we are watching the games live. Every broadcast with Stu was a ride of new phrases you could recite the next day in school during gym class and EVERYONE knew what you were talking about. Before him sports news was nothing more than hearing stats with some video behind it, it was uneventful and lacked any sense of emotion and entertainment. Stuart changed all of that, and he continued to change it until this morning. Rich Eisens career started in the chair next to Stuart and today he had to announce his passing on live television. If you want to know what kind of man Stuart was simply type his name into google or twitter and read the thousands upon thousands of messages from people touched by this great man.
