I can say this with certaiany as I was trained at Groton Ct in submarine school and was priviliged to know alot of sub sailors and sonar techs. also I went to college after the Navy and was trained as an aircraft airframe, powerplant and avionics technician. i know all about the pingers, radar, transponder, engine sat signals and range of a 777. I also know about diego garcia, it has the sea fitted with underwater sonar arrays and it has 360 degree radar from water level to vertical in space enough to se a plane like the 77 which is far from stealth. a weather radar could track a 777 because of its size and the air that it disrupts in the atmophere as it flies.
