I cant believe that I have such apathy for the American political process. I am so angry at all the Govt levels with maybe a little less anger towards our county government. Local,, state govt and the feds. Spend , spend spend. Tax, tax ,tax. Look at our state and our local governments on one just one topic, pension reform. Joke. They have to make some tough choices, like Nancy said just say NO We owe it to the people already on those plans and to the ones using those plans now. New hires nope. Cant afford a NEW pension for you, pay into a 401 k yourself if you want that. Dont like that? Go work some where else. We are offering this. We have to find money for education, not necessarily teachers payroll, but for safe schools that actually do something. Stop trying to prepare every kid for college and prepare them for life or a job. Math, English and oh by the way, this is how a lathe works. This is how you go to work if YOU cant afford college. This is the business end of a shovel, this is how you cut bricks, this is how you install drywall. Geometry, something other than professional student. It is no wonder Chicago has such problems with kids getting killed, look at the schools there. Falling apart, bad neighbor hoods, no supplies, no safety. Who can learn in that environment yet alone teach in that environment. If we want to spend money, spend it there. Yet our tax and spend elected officials piss it away. Look at the police, pensions? Where do we need them, WITH OUR YOUNG PEOPLE THE MOST. AT THE SCHOOLS, TEACH THE KIDS THE COPS ARE FIRST YOUR FRIENDS NOT THE ENEMY! I am a pissed off american and wonder where the common sense is. Soap box.
