I cant believe that I waited so long to crab from my kayak. Justin and I met up this morning for some fishing/crabbing in the lower bay. I dropped my crab pot and headed over to the red can to look for lingcod. I didnt even get a nibble from the bottom dwellers. I saw a few Coho jumping...but the sea run cutthroat were getting some major hang time! They were jumping everywhere. It was pretty awesome to see. Lia and Annie showed up right before the tide started going out. They dropped a couple of crab pots and went in search of fish. I saw Annie catch a nice little SRC. The weather was amazing. I wished I hadnt worn so many layers! The crabbing was really good for me. I ended up with a decent mess of crab. Too much for me to clean! (Thanks Gregory for loaning me the crab pot)Im glad I finally gave it a shot. I cant wait to get out and try again.
