I cant thank everyone enough for the support and encouragement youve given me concerning whether I should continue my online season 4. As I said once before, the only negative feedback Ive gotten from this venture is from people who havent even bothered to read it and have no intention to. Let me just say this: Dallas has ALWAYS been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Its always been my favorite show. I bought every season on DVD as it came out. In 2012, when it returned to television, no one was happier about it than me. It was the one thing I looked forward to every week (but I hated the short seasons and year long waits!). I was devastated when TNT canceled the show. I wrote and emailed the networks, etc. And every time there seemed to be a breakthrough, I was hopeful, only to be disappointed again. Well, Im tired of being disappointed. I truly hope Dallas can return to the air someday, but the producers AND Patrick Duffy has said that isnt going to happen for the foreseeable future. I hope thats wrong. But until that happens, Ive tried to offer fans some kind of continuation. True, its not the same as watching it on your screen. But its the best I can offer. If I was a billionaire, Id buy the rights, start my own network, and produce it myself. However, all I can do is provide this continuation for those who want to continue the story. For those who refuse to accept, all I can say is, so be it. I guess you can just continue to enjoy the wonderful 17 seasons Dallas gave us on the air. But writing this has given me a new purpose in life at a time when I was feeling lost. Its great therapy. All the emotions I feel, I pour out into these characters. And now, after getting so much positive feedback, I will continue for as long as you guys want to follow the story of the Ewings and Barnes, and as long as Im able to continue doing it. I promise to do my best to do justice to this great legacy and to all the fans who read it.
