I did have a huge WOW and a COOL moment on Friday during my ear surgical consult. The first thing I found out was that they wouldnt pay, so I asked the surgeon if he could look at my face and give me some recommendations on my nose, which was badly broken at 15 and again at 31. I also have something else that I wont say, because it would be easily noticeable if I pointed it out. What he told me was that after asking my age he told me youre a very pretty woman at 60, with great bone structure, and the only thing Id do is give you a brow lift and wouldnt bother with your nose. You have a nice nose now and the bump is so small it just gives your face character. He brought me to the mirror and back and we spoke for several minutes, till finally I had to find out if he knew Im transgendered, as in youre very pretty (for a transgendered) woman at 60 or what, so I told him I might have money left over from my gender change and he was REALLY shocked and couldnt believe it. Here we spoke by ourselves with his face less than a foot away from mine, examining me for several minutes and he didnt have a clue! Not exactly passing by your friendly neighborhood gynecologist, but to me, it was the next best thing. On one level, that made my week. I probably shouldnt be surprised anymore, but this was a biggie!!! Mira
