I did not intend for this to go nuts.I have been inundated with phone calls.I had 51 alone yesterday.It is from people who have appliances,clothing and money to give.Some have indicated that some people looking to get some of this help are not local.and the callers are from all over.I am sure some are ligit and some are not.This seems to be a issue with almost every fire i work,however the scope of this one goes beyond a family of 5 losing everything.I needed to post this as a warning as alot of goods will be given out at two fire stations today.Both have been alerted and ID will be required.I will not tolerate these people being denied any outpouring of the local folks.I tell everyone to donate to the Salvation Army,United Way,Red Cross as the are a few of the people i depend on to help victims.
