I discovered this man... Stefan Molyneux...initially by watching a youtube vid of his show exposing the truth about the recent shootings in Fergusen. Because his take on things is so different to the mainstream media and even the ‘truther’ pages on Facebook, who all seem to see this as another incident of racial persecution, because he was so clearly refuting this.... I wondered if he himself is racist at first. But what he has to say, if its true, that this giant man who had already threatened a police officer, had punched him in the face as he sat in his car... when the policeman got out of the car and told him to stop or he’d shoot and this enormous, violent, clearly deranged youth kept running at the cop even after he’d been shot. Well that would all explain the six gunshot wounds, and the one to the head and is a completely different version to the one in the media where this innocent young boy was holding his hands up saying ‘‘Stop don’t shoot.’’ Anyway, he mentioned in the video his previous video about the Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman shooting. So I watched that vid too... an incident again... I’d been completely convinced was a racist over zealous Neighbourhood Watch man who killed an innocent boy on a trip to the shops to get some sweets. Wow...what a different perception of events Stefan Molyneux has based on evidence which... if it is evidence and not a fabrication of Stefan’s imaginings then that was no race crime either. So then I go on to watch some of his other videos on all different subjects and his radio show where he has people call in, then practices a kind of George Carlin cut the crap style therapy on them. He’s really good at this. I’m learning so much from listening to him. With the call-in shows he’s like a highly skilled surgeon and these often very wounded damaged people ring in and they share their perception of their life story with him and somehow he manages on a radio show, in one hour, to do this really deep work with them. I think he helps them feel heard, acknowledged, but then shows them the contradictions and inconsistencies in what they are saying... he points out the lies they told themselves about their situation...probably in order to cope. But they ring up, knowing his show, knowing his style, bravely bare their all and he delivers his perception back to them in a way which can really help them see the parallels between their current issues and life circumstances and their childhood. Now whenever I make a foray into the human world again, no matter how brilliant, revelatory, insightful and wise someone is, no matter all the truth about political corruption and injustice in the human world...if they’re not even mentioning the animals... I start to feel really stifled and this deep urgent pressure to get back to a more whole perspective of life. To get back to vegan consciousness where we see ALL beings and ALL suffering and don’t just focus on human suffering. Inside me there are hundreds of billions of animals suffering so much more than any of these people can imagine, and I know ALL their human violence to one another, the neurosis, their lack of empathy, their abuse of one another and all the political corruption...ALL of it...arises from this basic denial of their non human victims and the torture and violence they indulge in for the pleasures of their palates everyday. So I’m trying to get through to him, leaving my posts on his page. So far he just deleted my comments, then banned me from one page. He has another page so I will continue trying to reach him through there. I will share this post on his page and my message to you Stefan Molyneux is this; Stefan, You’re only seeing part of the picture! We as a species are never going to be healthy, loving kind and respectful of one another, even basically rational and sane, whilst we so lack empathy that we are torturing other species for pleasure every day and don’t even notice. There is a direct and obvious, once you pay attention to it, connection between human violence to one another and how that arises out of our fundamentally brutal, violent, exploitative, totally disrespectful attitude to non humans. The best book I know on this subject is The World Peace Diet by Will Tuttle. In that book Will studies the history of violent oppression and sees how our treatment of other species defines and programs into us this violent mentality. To view some beings as less than based on superficial differences, to act that out in our violent persecution of them, creates and reinforces the hierarchical value system which has spawned all violent oppression. The daily ingesting of the violence programs our children with a might makes right attitude and complete disrespect for the sacredness of life. Will Tuttle looks at the psychological disconnect we must practice, to kill for pleasure...how that is the very thing which damages our capacity for empathy and even damages the way we relate to one another. If we can deny one being’s suffering and life, treat them as nothing more than a product, use them and abuse them for our own pleasure....then we can easily do that to other humans too. We practice the same denial for our own gain there too. In the same way you help people to see the parallels between what is happening in their lives currently and what happened in their childhood, there is a very clear parallel between what humans are doing to animals and the violent oppression increasingly being inflicted onto us. This is something we as a species need to truly wake up to. When we do, when we bring our children up vegan, non violent, truly respectful of all life…all the other violent oppression in this world will just crumble from within. It will no longer be supported in a world where the only thing anyone is buying is vegan, not tested on animals, environmentally friendly, fairly traded products. When they are living the transformation from unconscious, to conscious, that going vegan brings about. I respect your work. I’ve listened to what you have to say. I’ve reflected on what you’ve said and if I can see some way I’m causing suffering to another or being unjust then I will alter my behavior. I would very much appreciate, and beg you on behalf of these poor gentle so long abused so diabolically cruelly persecuted non human souls... to reflect on their suffering and consider your own responsibility in that too. Thank you. https://youtube/watch?v=9pr1oE34bIM
