Jon Stewart nails it, when he points out that none of the ambiguities in the Ferguson case exist in the Staten Island case. And yet the outcome is exactly the same. In the Ferguson case you had conflicting eyewitnesses, conflicting forensics, the specter at least of police self-defense, but here there is none of that. The corner says it was homocide, the guys not acting threatening, but its not from unreliable witnesses, but because we are literally f--king WATCHING IT, because someone taped it. People propose body cameras as a solution to this kind of violence. This assumes the result would look something like the Eric Garner case, yet even a video is not enough evidence to convict.
