I dont often get company here at my home in Eagle Butte-especially during the week-so imagine my delight around supper time to hear from Pat Fuhrman that they were on their way to town so Steve could be proactive in doing some of his Thurs business before the forecasted high winds. I got to enjoy the reverse scenario of having a visit from a friend and not being the one to have to drive home afterwards. Well, since Ive moved back this way, I probably drop in on their hospitality almost as much as when we lived across the street from each other! This is also a testimonial to the fact that everything is relative, as in traveling West River. Weve often laughed about the fact that its really only about twenty miles fewer from Mobridge to Eagle Butte as it is from Mobridge to Aberdeen - but it sure seems like a just a hop, skip, and a jump! 😊👣
