I enjoy the talks my dad and I have now about his career in naval intelligence. I used to despise it growing up because it took him away from me. But, I love hearing his stories now and I learn something new every time. He is someone who has seen and done so much with his life and he plays it off like its no big deal. Id never admit it to him but my dad is my hero, he always has been. He went through a rough patch sure, and he did some things I didnt like but, he is only human. He is the one human being that I believe has more love in his heart than anyone. Watching him day in and day out fighting to save my mothers life when she was ill, and the way he used to play santa for the kids in the hospital or the way he took it into his own hands to comfort families who lost loved ones for whatever reason. He taught me to love, to be brave and to never back down. I want my son to be like him, I want to be like my father. Hes my hero and I will forever be a navy brat and a daddys girl.
