I feel as though I need to set things straight, there is a family who is constantly bashing other people of the community such as Trent Williams & Gretchun & Christian because the community is pulling together to help these families. These family never announced they needed or wanted help but the community grew close to them and built a bond to help them through there illness. Trent was such an amazing boy, who didnt want the extra attention. He wanted to be seen as Trent & not Trent the child with fatal cancer. I have recently been blocked by Kari & her mom but I can tell you that I spent an entire day on the phone with Mayo & the Cleveland clinic who both were very eager to help Kari. Kari was given one thing to do and that was to write a time line or essay about her medical past so the clinic could schedule everything in the right order. When asked about how the Essay was going I got this response: Diane Nicholson Hey Petra, I am sorry I did not get back to you on the post yesterday. I did contact the Cleveland Clinic about Kari. They responded and since she has so many issues they need her to write something to them and send it to them so they can figure out which dr to start off with. They are saying it would most likely require us to be there maybe up to 3 days and may require us to go back for f/u. Kari has been pretty sick. I thought she had that respiratory illness going around but the dr didnt think so. She has been running fevers and has been really tired along with all the respiratory stuff and she has asthma too so I have not been pushing her to do much. We watch 2 little ones thru the week and she likes to help out with them but it is exhausting she gets really tired and by the end of the day doesnt feel like doing much. She is working on what they need. I still need to save up money, even if they help with transportation if we are there 3 days or longer there is food and possible shelter. I have taken her to places before where they have the Ronald McDonald houses but they are usually full which mean we would need a hotel room. Thank you for all your ideas and support!! Dianne is being paid as her caretaker so it would of been excepted. As a mom myself my kids & there medical needs come FIRST, I wouldnt be giving excuses out. I have helped numerous people in our community from paying a water bill for them, buying clothes for school, buying food for families with no other means. Im very hands on when it comes to helping but when red flags start popping up then its time to investigate. all the advice & guidance this town gives you will not do any good until you start helping yourself. This family has since blocked me because they know I know the truth. Please stop bashing the other ill & deceased residents of this town because you arent getting Handouts (money) from the community.
