I feel like I’m living in a National Geographic story, riding each day 1.5 hrs on long dirt road, passing thru mud brick villages. Arriving in Mbiza, working with the natives in their compound along with the pigeons, chicken and kids. It all starting to feel normal! Yesterday, I taught them sanitation and food processing. They sliced and diced carrots, cabbage, mustard greens and cassava, after boiling them on a wood fire. Then put in the dryer. On my way back home bought local fabric and gave a sidewalk tailor a shirt to copy, will be ready in one day. Had the third workshop with them today, built the second dryer. Most of the produce in SFD#1 was finished, they were quite pleased. Will return Monday for wrap-up, quiz, prizes and certificates. We have another group lined up for the next three days, fortunately near Zomba. Will build two dryers and perhaps share some homebrew. Picked up my new shirt, had to wait for it to be finished, and fits fine, my kind of souvenir! this for all I missed in email. too slow for pics now
