I feel someone needs this Word that God gave me: The Lord will send rain at the proper time from His rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.” –Deuteronomy 28:12, NLT “Lord, Send Your Rain!” This year, I had the dubious distinction to serve as armor bearer to one of our country’s most renowned preachers in the person of Bishop Paul S. Morton. Bishop Morton is someone’s preacher, but he is also someone who has penned some powerful songs. One song he penned includes the verses “Lord, whatever you’re doing in this season, don’t do it without me!” Then, there was a song that he penned some years ago that is applicable to today’s topic. This song was entitled “Let It Rain.” In this song, he included lyrics that said “Open the floodgates of Heaven, let it rain, let it rain!” As you listen to this song, you become to get engulfed in the Spirit of God for His rain falling on you! Today, I can imagine that many of us would like to send a shout to God and tell Him to “send the rain” in our lives! Well, I have good news: He will send the rain! How can I make this bold proclamation? Allow God’s Word through Deuteronomy 28:12 from the New Living Translation to bless you. Deuteronomy 28, in my opinion, is one of the strongest and most powerful chapters in the Bible. Moses ministers to the Israelites about two major things: the blessings attached to being obedient and the curses attached to being disobedient. It is within the blessings being attached to obedience is where we obtain clarity on the fact that God will send rain your way. The first portion of this text should make you leap/praise God wherever you are. The text begins, “The Lord will send rain at the proper time from His rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do.” That’s a Hallelujah moment right there! Today, God wants me to send encouragement to someone that is saying, “Brother Writer, I have worked really hard this year, but I haven’t seen the manifestation of God at work yet.” Give Him time because at the PROPER time, God will send rain to bless ALL the work you do! I encourage someone today to keep working in the field for God, keep working on the things God has placed in your heart and at the PROPER time, your rain will fall and it will cause for a great HARVEST within your life! I get the feeling in my Spirit that sooner rather than later, people will be commenting on Facebook, commenting on Twitter, commenting on Instagram, commenting to their families, commenting to their church families that the rain from Heaven has fallen on them at the PROPER time! Give God praise for knowing that when God’s PROPER time comes, rain will fall in a MAJOR way! Check out how this rain from God will bless you. Moses completes the text by saying this: “You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.” God will make sure that when that rain falls in your life, that you will be able to lend and notice what this text says: NEVER to borrow! Brothers and sisters, keep on plugging away for God because there will come a season where your rain will fall and when God is finished, you will definitely be the lender and not the borrower! Entrepreneurs, keep working your businesses because in the PROPER time, God will send rain from Heaven to make sure your businesses blossom! Employees of various companies, keep working your jobs because in the PROPER time, God will bless you to receive promotions that will make you the lender and not the borrower! Writers of “hidden jewel books,” keep working your writing gift because in the PROPER time, God will allow you to release your books and you will become best sellers! I just want to encourage someone today by letting you know that when God’s rain pours on you, it will bless you for ALL the work you have done, but it will make sure that you will lend to many and not have to worry about borrowing! If you are excited about this prospect in your life and God doing His thing in your life, I dare you to take a few moments and give Him praise! As I close today’s message, I want to pray with you. Father, I Thank You for another opportunity to minister this Word to Your people! Father, I ask that You would send Your rain in the PROPER time to Your children who works diligently to take care of their homes, their families, and themselves! Father, allow them to understand that eyes have not seen nor have ears heard neither has it entered into the heart of man the things You have in store for them. Encourage them Father in their weary days to let them know that if they do not faint, they will reap in DUE season! Thank You for being such a powerful and mighty God in our lives! We love You and we bless Your name! It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!
