I finally checked out COLD IN JULY, an adaptation of the Joe R. Lansdale novel, and Im happy to say it is terrific. Imagine a Sam Peckinpah movie (i.e. STRAW DOGS) with a soundtrack by John Carpenter and Tangerine Dream. Absolutely perfect cast, super tense atmosphere and gut-wrenching violence. And no, Im not just saying that because Joe loves my comic (have I mentioned lately that Joe Lansdale loves my comic?). };) Right now its only playing art-house cinemas in major cities but its also available On Demand. Check it out!
