I find it quite incredible that companies try to boost profits by cutting costs and staff. Its a completely unsustainable model that could only have been thought out by a CA (no offense to my CA friends). To boost profits effectively and in a sustainable manner, you often have to SPEND money. Increasing staff moral is where you start as this increases productivity and creates company ambassadors out of your staff. The boosted moral then is picked up by customers who also become ambassadors to your brand. The only catch; it starts at the top with you mr CEO.
