I find the dialogue concerning climate change, to be utterly out of touch at the moment. So much so, one cannot help wondering how many PR firms, lobbyists, lawyers and politicians, are working, hand in hand, to control the dialogue. Until we engage in a meaningful way with the two Pink Elephants in the room ie Geo-Engineering and Weather Manipulation, it is difficult to see a way forward. By Geo- engineering, I simply mean the ability too; and manipulation of, clouds and weather systems, by scientists (employed by both Military and Corporate interests) the world over. I can only say there is so much information out there regarding these subjects: patents, test reviews of Cloud formation, peer reviewed papers on nano-chemical dispersal data, etc, that scientists who routinely deny, deceive, or cite National Security are at best ignorant and at worst corrupt. These Elephants in the room are now so well known and so little talked about, they are becoming the main stumbling block for many, in endorsing any consensus view of climate change. Obviously humans are effecting the planet in numerous detrimental ways: petro-chemical and pesticide companies, nuclear energy cos and all those inherent dangers (think Fukushima for one). Not to mention, factory farming, GMOs, de-forestation, and intensive (Agra) farming. Then again theres always Warfare and its Massively Huge, Biological, Chemical; and of course Nuclear (depleted or not), footprint . Did someone mention Carbon? Yeah that too.
