I finished New Who, and now Im about to start watching Classic Who, starting from the beginning, An Unearthly Child. Before I get started, I just want to give my final thoughts on The New Series. Favorite Doctor: Christopher Eccleston. Not a single dud in his stories, and as much as I wanted more from him, Im happy with his one series. Silver: Matt Smith Bronze: David Tennant Favorite story in each Series: Series 1: The Empty Child/TheDoctor Series (also my favorite Who story period.) Series 2: School Reunion Series 3: Blink Series 4: The Doctors Daughter 2009 Specials: The Next Doctor (also my favorite Christmas special). Series 5: Amys Choice Series 6: The Girl Who Waited Series 7: Asylum of The Daleks Things from new who I legitimately hate: -The ending of The Christmas Invasion (Tenth Doctor, you are so petty. Why did you have to screw over what could have been a cool recurring character just because she brought up a good point?! By the way, the rest of the story is mostly meh.) -Love And Monsters (So unnecessary, you can skip it and lose nothing. I hate the monsters design, but a kid drew it up so I cant be too mean. The ending joke is just more unnecessary.) -John Simm as The Master (He was way too sadistic for my liking. He was disturbing, and he wasnt an interesting antagonist. I also didnt like how RTD used the Doctor and Master knew each other on Gallifrey angle to give The Master sympathy brownies, and to set up what I think was his redemption, that felt like it was giving fanfic writers material. But, he didnt deserve to be defeated by way of THE MOST BLATANT DEUS EX MACHINA I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.) Sorry, and no offense to fanfic writers, I just HATE John Simm as The Master. So thats what I think of New Who, short version at least. Before I watch An Unearthly Child and start 26 years worth of Who, I have 2 questions. One, what do think of The New Series of Doctor Who? And Two, What should I expect from The Classic Series of Doctor Who?
