I gather that Sarit Hadad, who is a popular singer in Israel wrote this song after her father went to his reward. It is a real cry from the heart, which many of us can identify with in one way or another. I think we could listen to this song prayer, entering into its spirit in praying for the terribly sad world of ours, at the moment, full of idiots, in various parts of the world, who think that they have to do damage to property, kill and maim to solve problems. It is all the worse because some of this is borrowed outrage, among people who really have not been at all affected by things that have happened. Perhaps who are led on or forced into their behaviour by hot heads. Also who seem to witness to a fragile view of their prophet by what they do, and the anger that they choose to adopt on his behalf. I think he would condemn their behaviour, pointing out that the sin they should jihad against, as urged by the Koran, is in themselves above all. Meanwhile many of their co-religionists who are more sensible and peace loving get it in the neck from equally stupid people who cannot distinguish between the bad representatives of Islam and the good ones. The good ones who seek holiness and only wish good for themselves and others whether they follow Islam or not. Those Moslems also who come alongside Jews and Christians in common cause for the good of the world, common moral standards and peaceful coexistence, as has happened in many Moslem societies in the past. I think it needs to be realised that if the terrorists end up getting, often so called, Christians fighting Moslems, without their having to do much themselves, they will have achieved their purposes, apart from taking over and establishing fundamentalist oppressive regimes, assuming that the Moslems win. Very sadly and tragically in some countries, perhaps where many have not been so well educated, (through no fault of their own), some seem to be actually falling for it. It really makes one weep !
