I got this from a friend:Is the fuel scarcity biting you - TopicsExpress

I got this from a friend:Is the fuel scarcity biting you too? For me, if its just the bite, it would have been way better... At least, na for man pikin to begin fly keke marwa again. Abi na? But condition to help a fried pushed me to a funny experience I had yesterday. Let me see if you wont pity me after reading through my experience. Ifeanyi, a medical doctor friend; and an old classmate at the seminary parked his car almost empty tank at my place and left for a course in India last 2 weeks. You shouldnt blame him... cos when he was leaving, there were fuel in almost every filling station across the country. Situation changed few days ago, and every filling station went dry. So, Dr. Ifeanyi came back around 4pm yesterday from India, and was suppose to be in Benin, where he resides early today. He barely had fuel in his car. Mine was almost burning out. But he needed to be in Benin the next morning. Official duty calls. So, we set out in search of fuel. First, we drove to the Total filling Station in Acme Road, Ogba... and the place was already locked. Their fuel finished! Some men there referred us to an Oando station at Ibadan Road, just before Ogudu. We got there and it was like every car owner in Lagos assembled there. Patiently, we joined the queue at about 6pm, and Ifeanyi was just in front of me. About 3 hours later, it got to Ifeanyis turn. We were supposed to be relieved right? Can you believe story changed after dispensing about N370 worth of fuel into Ifeanyis cars? Fuel got finished in their reservoir! We were mad, but got no choice than to continue the Fuel Ultimate Search From there again, we headed to Ibafo, Ogun state where it was rumored one unpopular filling station was selling. The journey from Ogudu to Ibafo took about 51 minutes, amidst intermittent traffic jams around MFM Prayer City. This unpopular filling station was actually selling, but the queue there was enough to command thunder to strike anyone responsible for the fuel scarcity. We queued up... and to cut the long story short, it finally got to our turn around 11.47 mid night. Yes, thats about 13 minutes to mid night This time, I was in front of Ifeanyi... And again, the fuel finished after while I still buying... I was able to buy about 23 liters, as against the 50 liters I wanted. Left with no option, we started our journey back home, with the hope that Id transfer some of the fuel in my car to Ifeanyis when we get home, so he can make it to Benin later. Sadly again on our way back, Ifeanyis car stopped. Fuel don finish. We wasted hours on the road begging for pipe to do the siphoning. But no one would stop for fear of robbers. Succor finally came around 2.30am from a bus driver. We finally got home some few minutes after 3 am. Thats how hard I was bitten yesterday by NNPC, abi na Federal government. Are you feeling the bite too? Lets face it; Why are Nigerians been made to suffer before enjoying their God given resources (oil)? Or maybe NNPC and co are simply punishing Nigerians cos of the missing 20billion dollars? In that case, can someone please inform NNPC that Nigerians are no longer looking for the missing 20b again. We are sorry, we just want fuel abeg. LOL! But wait, would you check it out if I show you the solution of ever increasing fuel prices and scarcity?
