I had a dog, a short haired border collie, who adopted my when I - TopicsExpress

I had a dog, a short haired border collie, who adopted my when I was about 10. He just turned up at the doorstep of our Milk Bar in Knoxfield and refused to leave. So I named him Prince and he was a good buddy to my old dog Rinty. Then he was run over and his spine was broke. The wonderful vets we have gone to for almost 50 years wanted to put him down saying he had no hope of ever walking again. Mum said no, we will give him a chance. So we had him in nappies in the lounge at home and with love and attention he started walking again three months later. He never had full control of his back legs and would do spectacular crashes if he turned a corner too quick but he could still hit 30KMH. He had to pee whilst walking! He lived another 13 years and the same veterinarian who wanted to put him down all those years earlier cried when it was finally time to help Prince pass over. This video reminded me of him. God bless these people for giving another beautiful animal a chance. https://youtube/watch?v=aXnDvkLXb_k#t=183
