I had a lovely surprise this evening. Echo slipped out as I was closing the patio door and instead of grabbing him and yanking him back inside to safety...I followed him. We had a lovely time walking around our complex. He initially looked back at me like really? Youre letting me do this? It was nice and cool outside with a strong breeze, which was a relief after such a hot day. He walked through the grass and scratched his claws against some large rocks. I just had a moment where I thought... you know hes turning 17 in August. 17! If he wants to walk outside Im going to let him walk outside :) Dont worry bird lovers - he only has one tooth left lol. They are not at any risk from him. I think we will take more walks outside this summer :)
