I had to go to Dollar General this afternoon. And as I was in the checkout having my items scanned, a little boy(probably about 8)walked up to the cashier and asked him Sir, do yall have a water fountain? The cashier replied that they didnt. The little boy was hot and sweaty and I could tell that he was truly thirsty. He walked out of the store(looking disappointed), and my mind begin to think upon Jesus when He was dying on the cross and He said that He was thirsty and all He was given was vinegar to drink. Jesus did not receive the best. But I do believe that He expects us to give the best to each other. I ran out the door while my items were being scanned and called to the little boy who was quite a ways from me. I said Hey darlin! Come back and I will buy you some water!. I walked to the back, grabbed a bottle told him to go ahead and take it with him and I could take care of it. He just beamed from ear to ear with a smile and thanked me! Made my day!
