I hate to put this on my wall but this REALLY MADE ME ANGRY...InSphere Insurance Solutions in Costa Mesa, CA is THE MOST RUDE AND UPROFESSIONAL OFFICE I HAVE EVER VISITED! MATT SMALL-AGENCY MANAGER.I was invited by Matt to speak for about 10-15 min at this InSphere Insurance Solutions Office in Costa Mesa this morning, Monday, June 17th, 2013. The topic of the presentation: Customer Retention and Folow Up. Right when I walked in the door the receptionist told me that she wasn’t aware of my visit but showed me the training room. A few minutes later some random Neil comes by and tells me to cut my presentation down to 5 min. Apparently his presentation is going to last about 1 hour. I told him that it will be difficult thing to do since my content is already structured and laid out for 10-15 min. Besides he is not the one who invited me to speak in this office and that I will need to speak with Matt about this. Feeling a bit unwelcome in this office I continued to get set up for the presentation, laying all of my samples out and connecting my laptop to the projector and the screen. A few minutes later Matt comes up to me and tells me that the format of their meeting has changed starting last Fri, June 14th and that instead of 1,5hr the meetings now going to last 1hr. Since Neil needs 1hr to speak I get no time for my presentation. In a very rude and disrespectful manner Matt told me to pack all my samples and my computer and leave without giving me the chance to say a word about the material that I have prepared. Now, I am a business person myself and I understand that things change and I am willing to adapt to the change, however, there is always a polite and professional way to solve a situation like this. When I confirmed my meeting with Matt last Friday I asked him to notify me about any updates and changes that have been made to the Monday morning meeting. Obviously, I never received any phone calls, texts or e-mails about the change in the schedule even though Anthem was asked not to come and speak due to some time constraints….Why would Matt have more respect for one business professional BUT not another? In such a competitive insurance industry market in Orange County it makes sense to be professional and polite to all the business people and never burn bridges with anybody because you never know where the next business lead will come from. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER REFER ANY BUSINESS TO THIS OFFICE AND ANY AGENTS THAT WORK THERE!!!! I WILL ALWAYS SPEAK POORLY ABOUT MATT SMALL AND HOW I WAS TREATED BY HIM AND HIS STAFF!!!
