I have a local question. For vendor events locally, (churches, halls, rooms) etc....I have seen some costs affiliated with getting a table that I simply cannot agree with. Heres my thought. Hall costs 200 a night. 50 vendors are asked to pay 50 bucks each. Thats 2500 bucks. These organizers say they will advertise, but most advertising is either free or bottom of the barrel ads, costing perhaps 500 bucks. So, who is pocketing 1800 bucks? Seriously, its a math calculation that I can no longer ignore, and Im seeing it more and more, the closer to the holidays we get. An event organizer that is also a vendor should be collecting two things--the cost of the ad, and the cost of the hall. That is ALL they should be collecting. Be careful who you deal with folks-----some organizers are organizing their own holiday shopping spree. I dont care if this is a popular post, a popular observation, but it is indeed a truth.
