I have a memory from my childhood that some may call a sad memory, - TopicsExpress

I have a memory from my childhood that some may call a sad memory, but I call a blessed memory. I remember a Christmas when my brothers and sisters wanted a Christmas Tree so bad, but we couldnt afford one, that we went outside and found a nice branch without leaves. We painted it pink, and put it in one of our mothers flower pots. We filled it with dirt to keep the branch steady. We then found a few strands of tin ice-cycles and placed them on the branch. When we were done, for me, it didnt matter whether we got any gifts or not. The enjoyment in spending time with each other and making our own Christmas Tree was more than enough. I pray for a beautiful Christmas for all families this year. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and while some may find what we see as beautiful to be pitiful, remember this: most of us were born in a hospital, with central air and central heat; Jesus Christ was born in a manger where his heat came from the animals that surrounded him. While our births were beautiful to our families, they in no way compare to the beauty of Jesus Christs birth in the manger to Christians everywhere. Make the most out of what you have and remember that Christmas isnt about giving gifts. It is about the birth of Jesus Christ, and spending time with your family and friends in love and celebration. Merry Christmas all !!!
