I have an eidetic mind which I can , not always , use in ways most people cant really imagine and some features are hard or not possible to explain , to be experienced to be known . I wish you good luck . Its not really proven people can learn that … But , for the sake of honesty and best outcomes , it would be foolish not to try : now ! I said : Now . That means now & then , and now & then means : You keep trying until it kickstarts your imagination :) This feature comes built into my experience since childhood . I would say that at 5-6 years I came to wonder about this visionary capacity . I dont think I am a synesthete though the eidetic experience is not devoid of sensations or feelings … However , the sensations or feelings stay in their contexts , that is , if I would come , for example , to a field of flowers I would be rather inclined to feel I can smell them , and maybe even get that sensation directing more attention and focus to it . I dont understand seeing odours and scents as colours nor do I taste sounds , nonetheless , as artist and designer , I could elaborate on it but such an attempt would be simply an intellectual or creative take on this subject and matter , to be a synesthetic creature . I am quite sure it can be poetic or pathetic or even tragic . I think it is having a lot more additional & rare stimulus , inspiration , imagination , and sensation . It can also be annoying , specially in unfavourable settings . I have never known are real synesthete , I figure also some people just claim to be one in order to make others believe they are extraordinary , in this regard , at least . Curiously , more women than men see way more colours than other people , it has a biological , genetical basis , additional receptors for the extended range . Maybe there is something biological or genetic to the qualities of synesthetic beings . About 4% of the population are said to be synesthetes , I dont know if that is true nor how many people might have an eidetic mind , but for sure , if properly used , it is a gift and blessing .
