I have become one of those "pink" ladies. You know, the ones who wear pink T-shirts and pink caps with the ribbons that symbolize the fight against breast cancer. I have always a respected those "pink" ladies, knowing that their journey is only understood by others who walk the same path. Sisters in a fight for their lives. On Tuesday, I will have surgery, ... the first step in my journey as a "pink" lady. I now know why they wear the T-shirts and caps. They are a symbol of support for those who are currently fighting for their lives, and a tribute to those who have lost the battle.
