I have been admiring this lady in my church because of her lifestyle. She do not keep friends, she is beautiful and dresses decently. I luckily got her phone number and house address from her choir member. When I gave her a call, she responded rudely, inquiring who gave me her phone number. I tried calming her down on phone to explain why I was calling, but she ended the call abruptly. So I decided to pay her a visit and when I knocked at their gate, she came out frowning. I told her that I was the one that called her earlier on phone. On hearing this, she angrily asked me again ‘who gave you my number, and is that why you should disturb my sleep’? I apologized and asked her to give me an opportunity to talk, and when she allowed me, I told her how I have admired her and immediately, she interrupted me saying: ‘Hold on, who gave you my number, I want to know, and by the way, are you baptized’? I was shocked again at her attitude, because I know that this question of baptism is uncalled for, and wondering why such a pretty and well reserved girl would behave in such manners, she banged and closed the gate on me and went inside. I stood there embarrassed. My people, I am good looking and have a good job and to be sincere, I planned marrying this lady. I admire her, but now I wonder what this whole thing could mean. What is your sincere advice?
