I have been at my career for about 13 years professionally. I cant count the amount of times people will sit and try to explain things to me I have been reviewing repeatedly during that time and even previous to becoming a professional. I often just sit and listen or walk away if I dont feel like listening. I have people who try to tell me things as if they are factually backed up with evidence and with an authoritative demeanor. Its endlessly annoying. I try to be polite and kindly disagree or just not bother since a lot of people will not be moved by me. If my opinion isnt respected enough to let someone give a second thought then I usually wont mind much in your opinion unless I see you as an authority on a topic. People watch one document and do a few google searches and become pseudo experts within a week. Ones who would like to go further seek out actual studies...studies they usually couldnt breakdown and analyze themselves. There is a very excruciatingly long critical tedious analysis and time period for top researchers as well as actual experts. Ive never claimed to be an expert and will not until I actually think I am. I am experienced and knowledgeable on the things I teach daily. Even still I know what a true expert is when I see one. I love this clip and it explains about half the internet population today. I have to LOL at the people coming at me with research they have not done themselves for any extended period on any mass of information that is critically objective.
