I have been trying LCHF lifestyle for over 5 weeks and I have to say that it isnt for everyone. This girl is not suited to it. I have a few fundamental issues with it. 1) I refuse to count calories as to me that is a diet and I will NOT diet. 2) I have no problem with low carbs but I do have an issue with cutting out any vegetables... I am sorry but there is no such thing as a bad veg! 3) I cant seem to tolerate the high fat content. A lot can and have great health improvement with low carb/high fat but I am not one of them. 4) I was doing well, health wise, before I started LCHF and now I feel like shit and have put on a lot of weight and in the worst place possible... THE stomach. 5) people on LCHF tell me I am doing it wrong because I dont count macros or calories or track this and that ...... Life is for living not obsessing about how many grams of carb there is in veg and deciding to cut out alsorts of VEGGIES because they have some carb in them. Well guess what people, me eating carrots and green peas with my meal is still better than tucking into the years of JUNK food that I abused my body with. REAL food is what I am focussing on, with a lower carb content - my carbs coming from full fat milk (in my coffee) and ALL veggies. I eat whatever I want so if I am out and feel like enjoying a great cuppa coffee and a piece of cake then I go ahead and do it. I just choose to do that occasionally rather than never or regularly. I DO not consider it falling off the wagon ... I consider it enjoying life.
