I have been working on this video (turn up speakers) for a few days......it is a complete and total dedication to the life of my ole buddy whimpy. What an honor to have been requested to be part in carrying him to his final resting place. All said, was told today in excess of 900 people visited grandview funeral home last night, and I in no way can count the number in attendance today for the services. Myself, along with dozens of men & women today wept like children at the thought of never having this precious, kind, loving gentleman in our present lives any longer. Frankford fire department, along with a number of others joined in, and together put up the best showing of support and respect anybody could ever wish for. I may not get to share a cup of folgers, work a accident scene-structure fire or brush fire, may never get to cruise along side on 2 wheels, or never be able to grab my phone and give ole whimp a holler to see what he is up to, but one thing for sure is that I never have to let go of all these memories, and never have to let go of the love I have for this selfless, loving, warm and comforting man. May God get as much joy from his friendship as many of us have here on earth. May he rest in peace. 1116 may have went 10-42, but his legacy will always remain. Whimpy, You Sir were my joy, a fellow firefighter, and my dear friend......may peace find you always. R.I.P. Mr Whimpy Butler.... We Will Take It From Here
