I have decided to finally put every one(75%) of my Scouting photos - TopicsExpress

I have decided to finally put every one(75%) of my Scouting photos I EVER took on one page somewhere. Just in my Scouting Photo album, I have 232 gigs which comes out to 49,981 photos in 571 folders. I have lots of O.A. Fellowships 2010-2014, Napowan from years we went there, and not just of my sons Troops, but all sort various random shots. Haunted Hikes, Outings, Events(Scout Olympics, Picnics, District Dinner, WB Beadings, IOLS, Trainings, Alumni dinners, CoHs, Troop and Pack meetings. Obviously, I have been to alot of Scouting events, so you can imagine the amount of photos I have and of what. Just to complicate things, I am going to divide them up into a few different folders. The folders mainly are going to be Council, District, Camping specific....This needs to get done..I am backing up every photo I ever took onto/into a cloud somewhere soon. I am thinking out of the 49,981 photos, I may get/have 25,000 or so that could/can be used One of the main reasons I am doing this, or at least what has happened is, I have gone out of my way with good intentions to make sure people see my photos that I have taken, but end up finding out that prolly +/- 25%? of the people in the photos actually see them..I have instant/private messaged or tagged or emailed 100s of Units, people, Leaders promoting the photos..But recently, through years of taking them, come to find out a surprising number of people just never seen them. How? I do not know? So, in the coming weeks, I am going to decide to make them public or to Privatize the Albums. I am going to revisit some sites I have used in the past: -Yahoo has Flickr, and on there you get a Terabyte of FREE storage. If I can find out how to use Flickr better in the coming time, and make the site public or private without to much trouble, I may be going with that site, and will pay for more storage space. -Google has Picasa but only get 16 gigs for FREE with an account. I like Picasa alot, but will have to pay for more storage space. It has some nice user friendly features though. Any feedback, ideas and or suggestions is appreciated
