I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Many of you are familiar with it some of my friends have it. It is a horrible disease that steals away your livelihood and youth. It alienates you from your family and friends. Tasks that were once simple become overwhelmingly complex. It causes problems with memory and concentration. I suffer from severe insomnia, depression and anxiety, these are also traits for the disease. The fatigue at times is the worst part. Just getting up, showering and getting ready for work becomes an almost impossible task. The pain is at times excruciating in my muscles and joints. Just as much as a hug causes pain. I have worked with this disease for six years, smiled through the pain and the heartache. I pray that doctors find out more about the disease and that it is real not just a diagnosis to pin on someone that you dont what else to do for. I also pray for a cure someday. Todays drug ease the symptoms a small bit but nothing takes it away. Keep me in your prayers as well those who have fibromyalgia.
