I have learned...three surefire ways that get strangers wanting to strike up conversations with me: (1) wear my Red Sox cap; (2) wear my Brooklyn Nets cap; and (3) wear my Kinks T-shirt. The Red Sox cap I havent worn lately because its totally worn out (and NOT because the Sox stink--Id wear it proudly even if they didnt); the Nets cap--mostly recently a clerk in Dunkin Donuts in Haddam started going over the team roster!. The T-shirt started yet another conversation, this time at Big Y with a guy who swore he was going home to dig out Low Budget Kinks record. I wonder what kind of conversations a Megadeth T-shirt would engender? Or what if I wore a Taylor Swift T-shirt? Yeah, or maybe Alvin & the Chipmunks. (I know someone who probably has all of those and then some....)
