I have never been a mid-life runner, really. The thought of feet - TopicsExpress

I have never been a mid-life runner, really. The thought of feet hitting the pavement, sun heating me up to exhaustion, and sweat pouring off me is not an attractive look to this southern sister. But, the older I get the more I am becoming a runner of a different sort. Would you like to try running with me? Instead of running away from Jesus, run to Him. I understand it can be risky. Awkward. Odd. The world says it is a crutch and some say it is only for weak minded people. To the contrary, I am stronger now than ever before. When I fill up on His Word and belt out praise tunes at the top of my lungs, I become bolder. When my soul is parched and thirsty, He is a cold drink of water. On those days I raise my hands in honor and seek to see Him, the worlds burdens begin to lift from my weary shoulders and I feel strength pouring down like a waterfall. He can move mountains. I cant. He can make the impossible possible. I cant. He can conquer the crisis. Enough said. Lord, take these thoughts I am thinking, the words I am saying and make me a new and improved follower each and every day. Jesus makes the ordinary becomes extraordinary! (Thats my story and I am stickin to it.) 2 Corinthians 5:17 When we are in Christ the old is gone and the new has come.
