I have noticed lately, rather worryingly, that some of the ditches and shallow (non running) brooks near to where I live, have had the water in them turn all orange and the foliage in them has also turned orange and covered in a sort of orange algae (?) This orange water and the foliage in it, also looks to be totally devoid of all life! I have also noticed a silvery sheen on this water, so am wondering whether this is either an accumulation of Aluminium and/or Sulphur etc from the trails, which is settling in this shallow and still water and totally toxifying it all!! I cannot think what else could do this and Im sure the silvery sheen on the top of the water, that accompanies this orange colour, is a tell tale sign of Aluminium Oxide. :( Anybody else noticed this???
