I havent kept up on this, but recently found out Elio Motors is working out a payment plan (OAC of course) where you put no money down, get a new Elio but pay 3x what the gas costs when you fill up. Example, fuel costs you $50 so the special credit card you use charges you $150, two thirds of that ($100) goes towards paying off the car. Each fill up gets something like 678 miles to the tank. In other words the average person is probably only going to spend about $240 on fuel & car payment. The price to buy it out right is around $6800 (plus tax). Im tempted to get one of these in a couple of years for commuting but want to wait and read how the reviews are for them. eliomotors/
