I just left my first (pass/fail) portfolio class where we were told that essentially if you dont pass, you are SOL, and have to retake all the classes, and hope the second and final time you take it you pass or else you are out of the graphic design program. No pressure. So I go to Jerrys Artarama to get a portfolio the appropriate size, and they are outrageously priced, so I grabbed one, and walked to the front hoping by some miracle that it was on sale and not tagged or something. Day 8: Today I am tankful for the cashier who mentioned remembering me from coming in so often and gave me a 40% discount for no reason at all. I got in my car and cried, and it was a silly thing to cry over, but Ive had such a yucky week, Im stressed out, and I got to have my feeling crunched up in to little pieces, and this guy just casually strolled in and did something nice to some girl hes seen around. I just needed that little bit of niceness to kick me back on track. Everything isnt bad just because Ive been stressed and upset, and felt out of place. NOW IM ON THE HUNT TO PAY IT FORWARD! (Sorry, that was a novel, but I just needed to tell someone. He was awesome.)
