I just received an email from Bill West, the guy back east who is recording Paul Westerberg s Sadly Beautiful in Laylas memory. Here is the update on the progress. Ill post his old version of the song next: Hey there! Update time.... (hooray!) I recorded tracks with Brian on guitar. Then Pattie on violin (she is so awesome!). Today, my friend Chuck laid down some killer pedal steel. I have to add mandolin and then of course top it all off with my world famous vocals (modestly of course). Then, we will have ourselves a beautiful song on our hands. Of course Brian and I will be setting up some sort of a way for folks to buy the song. We wanted proceeds to benefit NAMI and whoever else you can think of. I want to put together a brief video type promo for it. You have sent me lots of pictures of Layla.
