I just wanted to take this opportunity and compliment everyone on how smoothly traffic at the new Watertown High School flowed this morning. I was there from 7 a.m. to 7:25 watching and I did not see a single delay while entering from the highway. Police Chief Hall, myself and everybody with City Government are committed to making sure this process continues smoothly and safely. There will be challenges, like the first time we have a rainstorm or something similar. But, if everyone will leave home with plenty of time and approach each day like they did this morning, we should be able to deal with any obstacles. Next week, I plan on doing the same thing at the Middle School and the Elementary School. We likewise want the start, and end, of their day to be just as smooth. I have not heard of a single problem. Thanks again to everyone. Give yourselves a pat on the back. And, I think compliments should go out to Chief Hall. He handled everything great.
