I...lifted my eyes to heaven, and....I was restored... Daniel - TopicsExpress

I...lifted my eyes to heaven, and....I was restored... Daniel 4:34-36NKJV When king Nebuchadnezzar repented, his understanding...reason...honour and splendor returned...and...(he) was restored. But when we have an image to maintain, were reluctant to ask for help in case people think less of us. One author writes: To fall is bad enough, but to fall and cry out for help is worse...Some people are so full of pride and self-sufficiency they think, if I cant get up myslf, I wont let anyone help me. Stop being so proud- thats what caused you to fall in the first place! The Bible says: Those who walk in pride (God) is able to put down (Dan 4:37). Pride is dangerous, it forces help immediately, you could av gotten up and gone on with ur life. Proverb 14:12 says, There is a way that seems right to a man,but its end is...Death. Have u eva tried to rescue an injured animal? It doesnt know ur only desire is to help; it jst knws its in pain, and as a result it strikes out at the person who least deserve it. This is especially true when uve been wounded by someone close to u and didnt see it coming. You can hurt so much that u stop trusting everybody, including God. You stop praying and reading the Bible,u avoid those who want to help, and you refuse to let anybody pray for you. The Bible says, Do not harden your hearts (heb 3:15). Today, acknowledge that uve fallen and let God restor you....Shalom
