I love how GOP messiah Ronald Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million immigrants & when Obama does the same thing, the same people who worshiped Ronald Reagan are using all kinds of pejorative language to describe Obama. You may have grown up in an environment that associated the word humanitarian with socialist and that possessing guns is your constitutional right...Having never read any Pew Research Poll statistics on the effects of gun violence: people-press.org/2012/12/20/after-newtown-modest-change-in-opinion-about-gun-control/ -Here you go, by the way. However, an educated person questions everything. Questions the validity of an argument and reads voraciously. Asserting your opinions based on the things you heard mom and dad say at the dinner table IS NOT JUSTIFICATION. I hear many military men and women saying, (expletive) Obama. My father served in Vietnam honorably and even though he never agreed with the justification given by President Bush for the Iraq War, he NEVER called the President a derogatory name. If you call yourself honorable, you do not say one inflammatory word against the leader of our country. If you believe so ardently in your constitutional right to bear arms, then you must also follow the constitutional article that says that the President is the Commander and Chief of the military. You serve him/her. You protect him/her. Next realize that if you submit to a party that denies gay people the same rights as yourself or calls immigrants wet backs that do not have the right to be in America, you are a school yard bully. You are a person that perpetuates hate. And you are a person that has no sense of relativism. Imagine you were born in Haiti or Mexico and your country was full of turmoil. You would want to escape the potential adverse effects of staying there. Since you were born into comfort and affluence, you suddenly forget the struggles of others and distance yourself, calling them names and saying they have ruined your job opportunities. Except they take the jobs you dont want...And for wages far below the minimum wage. Then they are exploited by their employers who threaten to call immigration services if they attempt to get paid adequately to feed their families. Ive definitely held my tongue for a long time, trying not to be too partisan, but I cant stand some of the hate I see on this site. This concept of beating your chest to death and proclaiming how powerful you are as an American or Texan needs to stop. Have some empathy and read some statistics. I totally realize how this may offend some and delete me or whatever because facebook is ridiculous anyways, but watch this first and tell me if what you believe in is moral or morally bankrupt.
