I must admit, it makes me VERY ANGRY when people suggest that in the Americas, the language we speak is archaic. With all due respect, WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?!? If a word or expression is currently in general use somewhere, it is, by definition, NOT ARCHAIC!!! Regional, maybe, but certainly not ARCHAIC! (Please excuse all the capital letters and exclamation points. Im mad! [Note: Angry. Not crazy.]) These snooty language purists/police need a wake up call: It is the same year (and the same century!) all over the world, and Paris, London, and Madrid are NOT the only places in the world where modern French, modern English, and modern Spanish are spoken. Were not museum pieces here, just because we speak a certain way. These damn media personalities need to knock it off and start showing a little tact. GRRR!!!
