I must have listened to this song a thousand times. Especially the first months after I came back after my first trip to Romania in 2012. I shed quite some tears while listening to this song. When I came back from Romania, in that time it was the first time I encountered real poorness and I saw a world that did not exist in my mind yet. I felt so free and useful during that first week in Romania. When I got back home I felt empty and said a lot of times to myself (and others) I think I might end up working in Romania for children who dont choose to be born in that world. Children who want to be loved, who want to be hugged, who want to be teached about God, who want to be teached about life. Who DONT want to live in fear, who DONT want to live in the cold, who DONT want to live in a world were there is no warmth, where there is no (real) future & where they are not even. I was told: Most people feel like that when they come home Give it time and it will probably go away. But my urge to go back didnt go away and thank God I can now serve his kingdom and serve the people and can show them Gods love, can (try to) teach them about life, can teach them about God & can hug a kid now and then. Thank God (and my sponsors) for this calling and work can do in Your name!
