UNSUNG HEROES & STAND OUT ATHLETIC SCHOLARS TO BE HONORED ON JANUARY 18, 2015 Saluting Our Heroes for Succeeding Against the OddsBLACK TIE AWARDS GALA. This year will also mark the 25th Annual Anniversary of our organization honoring Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. JANUARY 18, 2015 - LOS ANGELES, CA - Some of Los Angeles top academic athletic achievers ,community leaders and celebrities will be recognized by The Inner City Youth Foundation, a organization dedicated to uplifting minority youth. This special event will be held on Sunday at Celebrity Centre International Garden Pavilion 5930 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, California. The Unsung Heroes Awards seek to spotlight scholars who are not only excelling in the classroom, but in their respective sports and volunteerism, as well. The student honorees are chosen based on their unweighted grade point averages, character letters of recommendation, community service and personal narratives. Also on this very special evening we will be honoring a few celebrities and community leaders, each being recognized for their positive leadership as role model,in addition to their consistent and never ending strive for excellence in their chosen field of profession. The Unsung Heroes Awards Founded in 2012 by Jeffrey J. Coprich Jr. -University of California Berkeley RB,Jeffrey J,Coprich Sr.& Aaron Plunkett -D1 Bound The Inner City Youth Foundation feels that it is critical that students such as those honored are praised for being great all around. We must celebrate these young people for being extraordinary. They have to know that their worth and strength as young leaders are priceless.
