I posted on here last month about how I lost my usb, which contains 8 years worth of work and school documents (the only copies of those documents, since the computer on which those documents were contained crashed, and I threw it out). Fortunately, I have hard copies of several of the assignments, but not updated copies, as I revise from year to year. (Stick with me, this is going somewhere...) I read on-line that with a scanner, I can scan documents into PDF and convert to Microsoft Word. Does anyone happen to know if I can do this with a cheap scanner, or do I need a specific kind of scanner. Im broke and want to buy the cheapest one I can find. This will save me hundreds of hours of retyping hundreds of assignments.
