I realize that many of you are feeling overwhelmed with various fundraisers and charity requests (ie. clothing drive, Operation Christmas Child) but I thought it might be nice to do something special for the students at Alexander for Christmas. If you wish to help out (and please do not in any way feel obligated), I will be collecting “gently used” teddy bears or other stuffies to be given to the younger students at Alexander as a Christmas gift from their buddies at Bench School. I know that my sons had an abundance of stuffies when they were growing up, and they would have loved to have had the opportunity to donate some to children who were less fortunate. Knowing how much your clothing donations were appreciated earlier this month, I talked with Dani Garner and we decided that this might be something that families would be interested in helping out with. I will have a bin set up in my classroom so that you can donate stuffies (in good condition) over the next 2 weeks. Once again, thank you Bench families for your generosity
