I remember a few years back before I was a trainer seeing a guy in a wheelchair during one of my runs when I was trying to drop weight after a serious injury. I was a couple hundred feet into the run and I was in a horrible mood and feeling like crap, so I stopped, bent over and almost quit - I was thinking of every excuse there is to just turn around and walk back home, but this guy in the wheelchair who was right across the street from me happen to look right at me when I was bent over with my hands on my knees panting for air. He didnt have to say a single word, but his look said it all - His look told me that he would give ANYTHING to get outside and RUN! So as quickly as my little 10 second encounter with this man started, it was over - I got back up and finished my run! To this day, every time I train I think of this mans look that he gave me! Dont take anything for granted - If you have the ability to help yourself and others, just do it!
