I remember one time my mom told me a story bout my grandpa when him and my grandmas first daughter my aunty Debra was born. She was a premie and had.to be hooked up to an incubator. At the time my grandpa was.working full time at the at the Pittsburg steel mill while moonlighting somewhere else as well. He wud only have about 6 & a.half hours.between gigs so he would come to the hospital amd look at my aunty for 30mins sleep for about 5 hours and go right back to work. Then one day the dr told him that their insurance couldnt keep paying for the incubator and they would have to take her off soon. My grandpa ran out and came back an hour later with a note from another job he was debating on whether or not to take and told the dr. Here is my address, the pink slip to my car, and the deed to my house I just started my 3rd job and I swear to u as my name is Clyde Stingily ill pay u back every dime but please dont take my baby off the incubator. The dr informed him that my aunt was a very sick baby and probably wouldnt live that long anyway. My grandpa told him he didnt care and he swore he wud pay no matter what. The dr. Reluctantly agreed. So then my grandpa only had 3 hours between gigs. He wud come to the hospital visit with my aunt for 15 mins sleep fo an hour and go BACK to work. The dr saw my grandpa literally killing himself for his baby and one day he woke him up and said mr Stingily go home and get some rest. The rest of the time your family is here is free of charge. I say that becuz I was almost about to start complaining about this early morning grind for my lil man on about an hour and a half of sleep. Smh.then I remembered my history and I decided to suck it up and sleep later. Lol Da tings mi a go du fi mi yout. Greatest test and gift yet. I Give thanks for my lil souljah, and my ancestors setting the example for me to live up to and surpass. the beautiful struggle. #FATHERHOOD!!!
